Well ... huh.
I got my results back from my tests.
FSH, LH, and estradiol are just fine. No menopause, no peri-menopause, ultrasound shows my lining looks fine. He didn't see any really good looking follicles (the u/s was done last week) but it was a very quick peek. There were follies there, he just liked to see them bigger.
So what's going on? Nurse Cheerful said (wait for it ...) that I "just needed to relax". Yep, she went there.
The results of my mammogram were less clear. They're sending me over to the breast centre for more films and an ultrasound.
Super.
If you need me I'll just be over here ... trying to relax.

Good luck on your mammogram results... And I'm very glad that your bloodwork came back fine. Keep on trying, the world needs more Bluettes and Clarkings to spread the good sense around!
Anna, thank you for your kind words! I'm trying to not make too big a deal of it (either thing, actually). Doesn't help to worry, eh?

Wish my test results were like yours but alas, I'm a 5 on the 20 perimenopause scale (sigh) but I'm okay with that - I'm 45 and couldn't deal with a baby now!! Although my girls are 15 and 5 years old....and I miss them being babies!
I do have a question (if I may) you've mentioned that you were married before and I assume that's when the infertilty time was - is there any rhyme or reason why things didn't work with hubby #1 and then the trail was blazed by hubby #2? Since you mentioned you were TTC, maybe the problem with hubby#1 has now surfaced with hubby#2? Or am I just totally a dufus today?
Actually, you may be on to something there ...
My 10+ years of infertility did occur with my ex and I'm pretty sure it wasn't him as he got his little white trash girlfriend preggers just fine (WHILE we were married, I'll add) and now has 2 kids I think.
Not that I'm bitter ... *snort*
Anyway, I was grotequely overweight at that time. My periods were irregular and super heavy, etc.
When my ex thankfully left my life I lost a HUGE amount of weight (180lbs), got on the pill and my periods became normal. I actually got pg on the pill with my first.
SO (I swear this is going somewhere!), I have gained back weight with each pregnancy and am now overweight and I'm wondering if THAT IS IT? I don't know what the connection is with weight and fertility. I guess I need to ask Dr Google, LOL
Jeez ... i didn't mean to write a blog-length comment. *blush*

Wow - I'm sorry if I brought up some unpleasant memories with #1 - that wasn't very kind of him was it? Sound like he needs a weanie removal procedure.....maybe you should start your own business!!! Selective weanie removal for cheating husbands....I smell a website forming!!! HA!
I'm not on the "skinny" side myself (and congrats on losing that weight - how in the world did you do that?? Tell me Tell Me!! Do you hold the secret?? Could make ya some extra $$$$$!!) so when I got surprisingly pregnant with my 5 year old at age 40(there is excatly 10 years difference in my first and second)I weighed 228 pounds - only gained 11 pounds and lost nearly 30 afterwards. However, the weight came back and my periods got gawd awlful - the dr said either lose the weight or I would have severe troubles later with ovulation, etc...something about you produce too much estrogen when you are "obese" (his word not mine!) - I HATE that word and doctors use it all the time...gggggrrrrrr (I've since had a uterine ablation so no more periods for me - it was that bad...)
Oh geez I've rambled...sorry...
