Poor eats
Did Blue call bullshit on the One Dollar Diet Project?
I blogged about the two social justice teachers / activists who ate for one month on one dollar a day (each). An interesting (and yes, it was political, Christopher) experiment in thrift and American lifestyle.

You TOTALLY nailed that one! I live at a local Deli Warehouse and they have cold cuts, chicken, steak, pork chops, milk, eggs, veggies and fruits on the cheap More thatn 50% less thatn supermarket!) Then I go accross the street and buy bread at a Bakery Warehouse store and can feed my family of 8 VERY well for a LOT less. It's about CHOICE. The deli warehous doesn't have all the pretty packages and you have to buy what is locally available in regard to fruits and veggies, but DUH! It is also about convenience - is driving 5 more minutes worth saving $50-100 a week! Yup!
